research and planning: start magazine

research and planning: actors release form

research and planning: photo shoot with location chosen (model 3)

I have tried taken various photo shots with model 3. This a medium long shot and so is the bottom two; I haven't used these two because they were taken in a day were the weather was a bit dark and doesn't suit with the magazine house style because of the outfit.

I tried an close up to put maybe in the double page spread but for the magazine to be conventional I need the model to try a different pose.

research and planning: risk assessment

research and planning: location recces

research and planning: photo shoot in chosen location with model 2 and 3

I did a medium shot with model 2, he pose is supposed to be serious and the facial expression because this is conventional for most rock magazine.

I trine long shot, medium long shot, medium shot above with different pose and facial expression with similar looks in the same location. If I don't want the white wall to be in the background, I can crop it out because in a magazine there isn't always a background.

I understand that it is important for the double page spreads body font should be in serif font but the other text besides from the story can be any font and size.

research and planning: comparing double page spread language

Pop double page spread
This is an interview on the popular pop artist Nicki Minaj. The language use for this interview isn't too formal and there is a bit of slang used only in quotes. It is informal because the target audience is a young teenagers this is so that they can understand and recognise what the interview is about. If it was to be very formal, the audience wouldn't be able to understand the formal language used in the interview. This magazine is child like because of the informal questions where as the rock magazines ask most formal questions to get formal answers from the artist.

RandB double page spread
This interview is more formal because this interview is based on more of a  serious artist, so you would expect formal answers however informal language is used only in the quotes. However it will be different to a classic rock magazine because the time differences and age differences of the artists. This is more adult like interview because they talk about specific subject focusing on their recent work and what they plan to do in the future, the interviewer doesn't  ask about the artist 'favourite colour' because that is a bit childish.
